yay the weekend
Man.....Thursday night was a little creepy. Two guys from my floor and I went to Stepp Cemetery for a little ghost hunting, i guess. Let me tell you, that is one creepy place. We had to drive deep into a forest and then walk along a dirt path for about a hundred yards till we got there. I guess there's a legend that a "Lady in Black" sits on this stump and watches over the graves. I'll admit, we didn't see any ghosts, no apparations, not even any fog. BUT, I heard things....it sounded like a dog growling (or a stomach). I know I wasn't imagining it, becasue one of the guys said he heard it before I even mentioned it. When we got silent to try and listen, it would suddenly stop. Very very VERY creepy. I was a little spooked.
We walked around the cemetery for a while, reading the gravestones. Most of the graves were from the 1800s and very early 1900s. I took pictures of the intersting ones (I won't put them up yet cos I just put up Seattle pictures and I've run out space so tough). Then we found a trail and decided to take it out. We basically walked out and out to see how far it would go. We didn't see much out there...some kind of swamp or something, and then we turned back.
It was a very interesting trip. Very spooky. I hope we can go again, maybe on a full moon.
On another note, I'm doing the Hoosiers Outrun Cancer 5k run tomorrow, so wish me luck. I hope I don't die and get burried at Stepp Cemetery.
