just thought i'd write a little something about my jobI hate my job. I work at Wright food court. It's good pay, but i hate it.
My first day: was assigned to the dining room. I worked with an Indonesian named Hose (pronounced Jose, like the hispanic way). He'd been there last year, so I just kinda followed him. We wiped down all the tables, and then Hose says "all done" so we sit and watch tv. 30-45 minutes later we take out some trash, clean some trays, and sit back down. Well then the manager name Jerry comes and says "boys this is not the time to be sitting and watching tv." I'm like oh shit i'm in trouble my first day, but i wasn't too worried cos i was new and I was just following Hose. He made me do some work, and i was busy for the rest of the night. No biggie.
Second day: I'm assigned dining room again. I work with 2 really old guys, one said "It's a good think i love my job." You'd have to to do that kinda work. Stayed busy.
3rd day: assigned dishroom. by now I'm pissed cos my friend Sarah has worked some food area every time and i'm getting the shaft with dining room and dishes. time went fast enough thouhg
4th day: Flamingo's Grill. yay! food! apparantely this is the hottest place to work, and i could tell. All i did was wrap sandwiches (which i'm not very good at) and make fries and onion rings (i kept burning the onion rings, which apparently was because i was frying them for twice the normal time).
5th day: Chester chicken. This was the best day yet really. THe work was easy, and i kinda like taking orders. the time went really fast too, which helps. I'm never eating chicken again though. Just too much. Oh and on each order we have to mark on the bag/box what the order was. the cashier mistook my "1" as a "2" for 2 asian ladies, and they came to me to complain. So I went to the cashier and explained what happened. She said I had to get a manager, so I found Jerry (the same who caught me watching tv first day, turns out he's a really cool guy) and they eventually fixed it all, i guess. or i hope. I also burnt myself today.
i gotta go to spanish next, i guess. THat class is getting a little better. the vocab is nothing new and the teacher is actualy very nice. She's easy on the eyes too.
